About Us

Theatre Tricks School of Speech and Drama was established in 2008 by Susan Collins Duggan. Our Studio is based in Castletown, Enniskeane, Co. Cork.

Our School is where children, teenagers and adults develop and learn through the world of Drama and Theatre. Students are taught in a fun, creative and safe environment.

Susan has more than 10 years experience in teaching speech and drama. Having been introduced to drama from an early age, she completed several exams in both acting and speech and participated in many productions as a young student. Based on my own experience of drama, I wanted to set up a drama school that focuses on a positive learning experience for each student.

Susan’s training includes an Associate Teachers Diploma ALCM(TD), Licentiate Teachers Diploma LLCM(TD) and Fellowship in Speech and Drama from the London Collge of Music.

“Being able to do what I do everyday is a privilege, I am always learning from my students’. Every class brings a new dimension to my work!”

Theatre Tricks School was founded on the belief that every child, teen or adult can shine in their own way, my aim is to encourage my students to do so through the creative world of drama. I take pride in seeing student’s imaginations, confidence and self esteem develop through constant encouragement and watch them grow into confident kids, teenagers and adults!

“Small class numbers allow me to develop individual relationships with my students and to cater for their individual needs”, to achieve this, I limit the class sizes to between 10 – 12 students.

As well as enjoyment there are many reasons for students to attend the school; children who are shy are encouraged to grow in self-confidence, those who find social interaction hard find themselves mixing without difficulty,  and they learn to communicate effectively.
